Mini Lesson Evaluation

What went well in your teaching? Based on what you learned as an instructor, what changes would you make next time?

I made sure that I went slowly and gave opportunity for any questions that “students” had. I feel like I was very clear in my explanations. She knew how to follow my directions, and printed without any problems. I made sure that I was not talking down to her.

After seeing her mini lesson, I got some great new ideas that would improve my own lesson. I want to include pictures so students that learn the same way I do will have that extra help. I would also like to use more detail in my steps. I will also need to include a few more steps in order to make it clearer.

I think printing is a valuable skill for students to have. I would hope that they would know how to do this before coming into the 5th grade. Maybe this could be a refresher or a new skill for ELLs.
