Scaffolding Activities

From the learner perspective, how did the lesson activities support your achievement of the task?
Having the examples of the different steps that we were going to complete were very helpful. It gave me a visual of each step I needed in order to complete the "big picture". I think the most helpful was the PowerPoint scaffolding. It gave our group an idea of what was needed to complete each slide. At first I wasn't so sure about how the assignment was supposed to be done. The examples and the whole class reviewing was great. I think that students would benefit from this. Maybe the second time wouldn't have to be covered as the group, they could just follow the prompts. I think that was probably the purpose of doing the scaffolding.

How did technology help you modify the files to meet your needs as a learner?
This was a good way for me to build up my scaffolding so in the future I can complete the tasks completely on my own. I am a visual person, so seeing the correct way to do things makes the picture clear for me on how mine should look. The chart on how to decide our presentation was helpful because all of us had so many different ideas. it helped us to not be so biased when we could see the big picture.
